About teak wood flooring:
Teak solid wood flooring is the wood plank milled from 100% teak sawn timber.Before milling tongue & groove joint on blade machine , our staff will have to select the solid raw teak wooden plank into different grade according to different character and color shade of teak ,it will help when final prefinished hardwod flooring production completed, the color variations can be mimimum.
Unlike any other common hardwood, true teak(tectona grandis) wood plank need seasoning on sunlight . This process is very important as true Asian Teak is riched with a special natural teak oil compositions, which has to be dried under sunlight with temperature (25℃-35℃)for 7-10 days,it is actually a oxidation process , by which freshly cut teak will present golden yellow or mature brown coffee color.
Interior use teak solid plank floor comes with humidity 10%-12% after air drying & acclimation process on our workshop. Standard solid plank floor thickness is 15mm(JAS) 19mm(USA), 12-21mm (EU), width less than 150mm .
Surface treatment for teak solid hardwood flooring are mainly three types:
UV lacquered, Natural Oiled or Raw Unpolished.
Burma Teak hardwood flooring (19mm thickness) is guranteed with above 50 years residential use & 100 years structure warranty with little maintenance, it is really an Amazing wood !
Although there are some other hardwood species from South America, Africa regions are crowned with the name of African teak, Brazilian teak etc, they are not considered as true teak in the world
